A girl was lying in a room, struggling to breathe. Because of this, she was taking long, deep breaths. Her face was covered in sweat, as if she were seeing a nightmare.
Suddenly, her eyes snap open, but she closes them again due to the bright light. After some time, the girl slowly opens her eyes and sees the ceiling. She looks around and finds herself on a hospital bed.
Seeing herself on a hospital bed, the girl, Riyanshi, thinks—is she not dead? Has she been saved? If she was saved, then who saved her? Thinking all this, Riyanshi sat up on the bed, deeply lost in her thoughts.
Then her gaze falls on the calendar kept on the side table, which was showing the date of March 2026. Seeing this, Riyanshi is completely shocked. Her death occurred in 2031 was this her rebirth or was she seeing a dream?
But how could this be? Everything she saw and felt was not a dream from any angle. It was all reality—the pain of burning, the pain of her own people not trusting her, the pain of her heart, it was all real.
Yes, Riyanshi has been reborn. Thinking about this repeatedly made Riyanshi’s head ache. That’s why she got up and walked toward the washroom to freshen up. In the washroom, Riyanshi first splashed water on her face and stood with her head bowed. Suddenly, a dangerous smile appeared on her face, which was not good by any means.
Riyanshi looked at herself in the mirror—deep blue eyes, pink lips on which water droplets were shining like diamonds. Glassy skin, whiter than snow, as if blood would start flowing right now. Thick black hair down to her waist, which increased Riyanshi’s beauty manifold.
From outside, Riyanshi came out of her thoughts by the nurse's voice who was saying:
"Madam, kya aap andar hain? Please bahar aa jaiye aapki dava ka waqt ho gaya hai."
(Madam, are you inside? Please come out, it is time for your medicine.)
During this, the sound of the washroom door opening came and Riyanshi came out. That nurse left after giving Riyanshi her medicine.
Riyanshi again gets lost in her thoughts about how she ended up on this hospital bed.
Past
On this day, the 12th results of Riyanshi and Meira had come out. Riyanshi had worked very hard for her board exams so that her marks would be good and she could get her family’s attention, but exactly the opposite had happened.
When Riyanshi reached home, Meira was already there, and everyone was praising the marks she got in her results.
Then everyone’s gaze went to Riyanshi, who had her marksheet in her hands, but looking at anyone in the house, it didn't seem like anyone was even interested in seeing her marksheet.
Looking at everyone's faces, Riyanshi’s heart broke. The excitement and happiness that were on everyone's faces just a while ago while looking at Meira's results vanished upon seeing Riyanshi.
The reason for this was that Riyanshi was not good at studies; she had become very weak in studies over the last few years. Because Riyanshi wasted most of her time trying to get her family members' attention. She would keep doing something or the other so that her mom, dad, and brothers would also give her a little attention.
But everything turned out the opposite; Riyanshi kept falling in everyone's eyes, and Meira took great advantage of this. She kept becoming good in everyone's eyes. Riyanshi was now compared to Meira at school and at home, because of which Meira and Riyanshi had many fights.
Meira used to be the one to start these fights, and the blame would fall on Riyanshi. For this reason, everyone would stay angry with Riyanshi and show indifference. They felt that by doing this, they could improve Riyanshi. But they didn't even realize when that method became a part of their habit.
Now the situation was such that even without any mistake, Riyanshi would get scolded. Because of this, tears also came into Riyanshi’s eyes, but everyone thought this was Riyanshi’s drama to escape the punishment of her mistake.
No one saw Riyanshi’s result, and no one asked anything either. And because of this, Riyanshi ran from the hall straight to her room. Everyone sitting in the hall thought that Riyanshi’s marks were not good, which is why she didn't show her result to anyone. This made Riyanshi’s father very angry.
At night, everyone was having dinner; everyone was present except Riyanshi, which everyone noticed well, but no one asked the reason for her not having dinner. But Riyanshi’s grandparents couldn't even eat anything out of worry for her. The reason for this was that Riyanshi very rarely had dinner with everyone. There were two reasons for that: first, no one paid attention to her at the dinner table, everyone focused on Meira. And the second reason was that Riyanshi remained busy with her board preparation and often ate food late at night. Except for Riyanshi’s grandparents, no one else knew these things; the others also thought that Riyanshi didn't even like looking at Meira, so she didn't sit and have dinner with her.
Actually, Meira had found out a long time ago that she was adopted, and she found out through Riyanshi. That day, Meira did a lot of drama, and Riyanshi’s family scolded her severely. Since then, the jealousy Meira had in her heart for Riyanshi had now turned into hatred, and she would use her acting skills to pull Riyanshi down in everyone’s eyes and make her look bad.
At midnight
The door to Riyanshi’s room was opened, and a shadow came inside. This shadow was none other than Riyanshi’s grandfather, Raghuveer Rai Singhania, who couldn't be at peace without seeing his dear granddaughter. That's why he had gone to her room.
Riyanshi was shivering there with cold as soon as Raghuveer ji saw that she had a fever, he immediately brought her to the hospital.
Riyanshi came out of her memories by the sound of the door opening.
